2d blue - Cracked plate (SG 234 and 235) on cover

The 2d blue 3rd Sideface issue developed a cracked electro in late 1901 (position 45 of plate 1) which was only replaced in May 1906. The crack extended from just above the bust cut-off, almost centrally up through the neck, snaking over to the jaw then up to the hair line. This page is a census of cracked plate examples seen on cover
